Semester Calendar

Explanations:

The official (i.e. administrative) duration of the winter semester at Ludwigsburg University of Education is from 1st October to 31st March of the following year, that of the summer semester from 1st April to 30th September.

However, the actual lecture period, i.e. the period during which lectures take place, is shorter and varies from year to year. Usually the winter semester lecture period begins in mid-October and ends (after a winter break between Christmas and 6th January) in mid-February.

After a short spring break, the summer semester lecture period begins around mid-April and usually ends at the end of July. After Whitsun there is also a week off from lectures, which is used for field trips.
