In order to study at the University of Education, you must be able to speak German fluently and with ease. Therefore, applicants must provide proof of sufficient knowledge of the German language at C1 level with the DSH-2 exam, TestDaF-4 exam, telc-C1-Hochschule exam or a comparable exam before starting their studies.
When applying, you must enclose a certificate of a recognized C1 German language certificate (in addition to the examinations already mentioned, also C1-Goethe, language diploma of the Kultusministerkonferenz - second level or the Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung).
Although the Ludwigsburg University of Education does not usually offer German courses before admission to the degree program, it will be possible to take the TestDaF exam (Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache) from February 2024! Further information can be found on the website of the Language Centre (in German). You can register for the TestDaF directly via the Testinstitut website (in German). If you have any questions, you can contact Indira Suresh (suresh(at)ph-ludwigsburg.de) at the Language Centre of Ludwigsburg University of Education directly.
