At regular intervals, approximately every two years, the International Office at LUE organises an International Staff Training Week. Administrative staff from different sections of our partner institutions worldwide are invited to attend and participate. The event is primarily aimed at providing our international partners with an opportunity for further training, internationalisation and networking. In addition, the participants have the opportunity to get to know Ludwigsburg University of Education on site. Of course, interested people from other international institutions worldwide are also invited to attend. We are always pleased to welcome you.
The programme usually takes place from Monday to Friday and includes plenary sessions and several workshops on different topics or for different interest groups. The language of communication is English and participants are expected to be proficient at an appropriate level. Of course, we do not only familiarise participants with LUE, but also show you the beautiful baroque city of Ludwigsburg with its impressive royal palace, one of the largest baroque palaces in Germany. In addition, we always include an excursion day where we visit external partners/institutions in the field of internationalisation and invite you to discover some of the many highlights in our region.
Below you will find information on previous Staff Training Weeks as well as the one currently being planned, including the registration form and a preliminary programme overview.
The Second LUE ERASMUS+ Staff Training Week in February 2020
From 17th to 21st February 2020 we welcomed 15 representatives from our partner universities from seven countries to our second Erasmus+ Staff Training Week. During the week-long, English-language training format, the participants exchanged ideas on the topic of project management in International and Research Funding Offices.
Representatives from International Offices and Research Support Offices from partner universities in Egypt, India, Israel, Serbia, Ukraine, Hungary and a non-partner university from Poland discussed best practices in international mobility and research projects in interactive workshops. Visits to the International Office at the Media Design University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule der Medien) as well as to Baden-Württemberg International (bwi) – a state competence centre for the internationalisation of business and science in Baden-Württemberg - provided our international guests with insights into the German world of work.
The event was funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and organised by the LUE International Office in cooperation with the Research Promotion and the EU Research Unit of the Universities of Education in Baden-Württemberg.
All participants successfully completed the Erasmus+ Staff Training Week. It was altogether a successful training week, with intensive exchange of ideas, interesting lectures, lively discussions and new insights on all sides, which were possible thanks to the good teamwork of the Research Funding and International Offices of LUE and a wonderful group of participants.
