About INVITE 2.0

What is INVITE 2.0?

INVITE 2.0 is a project, sponsored by the DAAD, led by the Ludwigsburg University of Education, designed to internationalise teacher education programmes. It enhances teaching and learning experiences through international exchanges, digital modules, and intercultural preparation.

Core Objectives

Major Topics

INVITE 2.0 focuses on five major topics—Migration, Sustainability, Inclusion, Diversity, and Digitisation—that are integrated into the project’s curriculum and international collaborations. These themes provide the framework for teaching and learning activities, supporting the development of globally relevant competencies in teacher education.

Cross-Cutting Themes:

  • Each major topic is interconnected and supports the development of Critical Intercultural Reflexivity, enabling teacher candidates to reflect on their own biases and assumptions while fostering inclusive and globally conscious classrooms.
  • The project also incorporates insights from the Global South to broaden the Eurocentric perspective often dominant in teacher education.
